King Crimson are probably one of the best examples of innovative music and this DVD reinforces this.
The DVD covers a range of tracks, mainly from from Thrak and Discipline, all delivered with the creative flair that has always been associated with Crimson. The rendition of Red is excellent and loses none of its originality, despite the different line-up.
The usually cynical Bill Bruford (particularly where Yes is concerned)really looks at home and I have never seen him look happier! Robert Fripp occupies his normal position on a stool, looking like the godfather of Crimson, which he probably is! In contrast, Adrian Belew adds the animation, constantly on the move, like a restless child and proves that he is a very accomplished and underestimated guitarist, both in established Crimson riffs and with his own contributions. Tony Levin (also a superb musician), contributes with both the hard attacking bass riffs and with the more delicate mmelodies played on the Chapman Stick.
All in all, this is a superb collection of tracks, played with gusto and obvious enjoyment by all, which makes this DVD even more special. The only critiscism is the continuity, as it is not so much an ongoing concert, but a stop and start collection of tracks. However, you do get a DVD with non-stop music.
